I was a visitor in the coffee shop this morning, not working, just socializing and tasting coffee. I tasted the Iskandar and got a pleasant surprise. It turns out that Michelle had put out a new roast that I experimented with the other day. I took the bean as deep and dark as I dared. Wow! We’ve had this particular Indonesian bean for a couple of months and we’ve tried different roasts – never feeling that it was exactly right. So anyway, the other day I took it really dark, just to see what would happen. For dark coffee lovers, it’s awesome. Rich, bold, smooth, sassy and a new word for me – SULTRY! (New, that is, applied to coffee.) Anyway, I think we may have found the right roast for this bean. The next time you’re in and see it on the counter, try it! You’ll love its sultry sassiness!
